Ya its terrible - with the section gone - I really can't see it surviving (due to stability etc). It definitely won't be open to the public anymore I think.

There is more information here at the link below, it is an 'earthen crack' that developed so it looks pretty dangerous... The news article seems to be 'copyright reserved' though I am not sure that is valid as far as news is concerned....
