It's always my favourite moon, the northernmost rise and set, I'm just not always certain of the exact day. With the last three weeks of non-stop rain and gales, I was lucky to see the golden moon rise in the north east , above the fells at night, and later, to see it approaching its northernmost setting point, a beautiful ivory, just before sunrise, all in brief intervals between downpours, with dark clouds scudding by on a wild wind.

if you up early over the next few days look east before dawn.
Mars, Mercury and Jupiter are set for a very close encounter,
