This is the reason they have reopened the Woodhenge trench that Maud Cunnington first dug.
When Pitts did his dig at the sanctuary he discovered that Cunningtons excavations of the post holes left dateable evidence at the bottom of the post holes.
Today they unearthed a large fragment of Bluestone at the Woodhenge trench which is interesting as they are investigating two stoneholes that Cunnington seemed unsure about.
The Cursus dig also uncovered its first piece of Bluestone.

will you be up Stonehenge way tomorrow, I have the day off work so I hope to be arond to check out, and take some pictures of the excavations, I'll keep a look out for you,
