We nearly ended up there on our visit cos we'd not booked accommodation beforehand - couldn't even find the campsite! Saw lots of seals though, and eventually ended up in an amazing accommodation overlooking Stones of Stenness, Ring o'Brogar, Maes Howe, etcetc... How lucky!I'd be tempted to book ferries in advance - mainly cos I'd be worried I'd not get on! I'm occasionally sensible like that...
