The ground is too rocky now on the Hillfort to bury anything and it is a long way to the bottom of Humbledon Hill. Partly why I was wondering what they did? Maybe it would not have been as rocky in their day?
I walk up Twmbarlwn frequently. The ground is very rocky on top, so with you on the too hard to dig a hole, but down below the ground is a bit softer, so maybe.
I thought of the forest as Twmbarlwm is surrounded by forest. Getting me thinking though!
