I always thought they either buried it, went in the woods or in a nearby river.

Although I have been thinking of the idea of Iron Age communal loos lately!

The ground is too rocky now on the Hillfort to bury anything and it is a long way to the bottom of Humbledon Hill. Partly why I was wondering what they did? Maybe it would not have been as rocky in their day?
