There has never been so much . Developer funded archaeology in the past couple of decades has produced such huge amount of "grey literature " on it's excavations it's difficult to keep up , or in some cases find it .

Sorry should have been more specific - was meaning the 'potential site not under threat' side of things..the exploratory, inquisitive archaeology. I know this is the case in one National Park, expect others too. No threat, like as not no survey or dig. That there is a lot of grey stuff is an indication of increasing threat to our country's physical and hidden fabric.
