I don't support the damage that these vehicles do nor believe they should have the freedom to go and do what they like.

But that does look like fun, and there lies the problem.

Should there be places where those who wish to partake in this kind of 'sport' can go. Yes I think so.

Indeed (and there are loads) but preferably not delicate or sensitive places. The line would be pretty easy to draw, by agreement, but any proposal is opposed as an attack. I think they've just won a huge fight to retain their freedom to use some of the Stonehenge tracks. You'd think they could have agreed to do without those, at least.
