Fibreglass with some sort of sand substance mixed in I think. If you tap on it....

They did that with the Dunning Class 1 Pictish Stone near Forfar, put the original in the Meffan Institute to prevent further erosion and replaced it with a replica which looks extremely good. Until you knock on it... Ditto the Fowlis Wester Class 2.

With the Boa Island 'Janus' figure they may a copy and stuck the copy in the museum ... In the south they grab so much stuff and stick in the vaults of the National Museum in Dublin that the opposite happening in the north came as quite a shock.
