No, I won't ignore you. Does the moon ever rise as far North as the sun does? If so, it WOULD light up the passage....
Same might apply for sites with a winter solstice solar alignment.

Well, that's what was in my head. Last week the moon rose in the SW, so it would have lit up Newgrange.
