Why oh why are people so narrow minded that they think their gloss paint contribution to some millennia old rock art is a good idea?? How could you be such a moron.

Trying to ignore that, the location is fantastic, with the mound crowned with the rock, and the streams coming out at the bottom - amazing.

Yes Rhiannon, it's a beautiful spot, and that part of the moor is steeped in folklore... that part of the moor has provided a number of supposed 'sightings' from fairies to aliens! Streams run around the mound and surround it with water, which must have been seen as somekind of otherworldly or liminal space by the moor's prehistoric inhabitants. The nearby spa baths of White Wells show that the area continued to be considered important thru' to modern times.... then came a divot with a spray can!

May the gods/goddesses piss on his/her pillow!
