Can't argue with that!

This is a good example of a fine country pub within walking distance of an ancient site:
http://www.giantsrest.co.uk/

And of course this 'un:

(Although I have limited experience of the latter. But it seems like a nice little boozer!)

For the record, I love the Red Lion, for better or for worse, and will always go there. But it could be better. :)

Me too. Has anyone ever B&B'd there? Was wondering what the service is like for residents. Presumably they have separate toilets just for residents. It must be popular cos I've tried to book in for the night on 3 or 4 occasions but it's always been full.

That Giant's Rest looks good Goff.

Didn't we run a thread a few years back on pubs with a mega connection - or was that pub signs, or beers with a mega connection - think it was beers actually.

Only other pubs I can think of are The Three Hills at Bartlow and The Druids Arms at Stanton Drew (would be a good place for a Megameet that). Must be loads more though.
