Me too. Has anyone ever B&B'd there? Was wondering what the service is like for residents. Presumably they have separate toilets just for residents. It must be popular cos I've tried to book in for the night on 3 or 4 occasions but it's always been full.

I think they stopped doing B&B there when it was taken over... Due, I believe, to the fact that there was no seperate entrance for residents, so it when the doors closed at closing time, you had to be in your room or stay out all night!

Although I might be wrong.

Yup, over ten years ago though and it wasn't good (tiny shower room/toilet and a very noisy aircon) and very pricey. As Goff said, worst thing was if you went out you couldn't get back in after closing time! They stopped doing accommodation a few years ago and never started again. Plenty of good B&Bs around though (not to mention the Swindon Marriott which can be cheaper, or around the same, as a B&B and includes a top-notch breakfast. Good road from there through Wroughton over the downs to Avebury without needing to go through Swindon.
