I've always found it really friendly there, and, yes, the food quality has fluctuated over the years. And the toilets - yes. Agreed. They've always needed a complete overhaul.

But hey! Where else can you sit in a pub in the middle of a stone circle? :)

It's a great meeting place - especially if the weather's not so good. I like it and will happily go in there pretty much every time I go to Avebury. I don't remember the last time I ate there, so can't comment on the current standard, but I'm sure I'll give it a go again at some point.

Isn't it part of a chain now? Surely that's gonna mean it'll be brought up to the standards of the chain's other properties? Or are all *their* toilets shit as well? ;) Maybe it's a "feature"...

Shame tho, cos it's in a unique location. Be a cracking little pub/restaurant if it were tidied up a bit.
