Newcastle cloudy and overcast last night - gallery of images here - http://science.nasa.gov/spaceweather/eclipses/gallery_27oct04.html - but nobody has pictured the significant moon rises / moonsets from Avebury, ever. Nearest happening is about April next year, and then the end of September. That 28.30 ish declination 'line', which is close to the Winter Solstice points.

I have. I have been creating horizon panoramas for the program Starry Night pro and checking the alignments with a telescope.
My new CD rom Avebury Grand Tour contains a series of horizon panoramas from around avebury as well as a trial version of the starry prog for those that cannot afford the whole package.
