Like that's going to happen! She'll need to formulate a philosophical basis for why and to what point she turns the clock back, and get popular agreement, and give someone the authority, and the funds. And are additional trumperies of eighteenth century excess to be swept away as well - like half of Marlborough? And Avebury village?

For better or for worse, those "features" are all part of the mound's rich history now... We know better these days, of course, so that sort of thing would NEVER happen now, would it, boys and girls? ;)

And although it's quite grotesque, and I'd have been happier had it NOT been there, I can't help but like it for sheer curiosity value!
