OK. You're right. A bit confusing.

The Gogmagog book is mainly concerned with the Wandlebury figures, also detailed in the Geoffrey texts.

In the discussion about hill figures and giant myths he explores the Devon figure rumours/lore and comes to the conclusion that they were on the cliffs by the Hoe.

I'll pull out a couple of key paragraphs this evening to try and make sense of it :-)

my first reaction was similar to kammers (but less well informed). I'm no expert on this stuff but did have a memory of Gogmagog hills being close to Cambridge.

I'm not going totally mad after all.
