We've been over (I think) four times now and only one of the eight crossings was bad, plus that one was a good learning exercise as neither of us got seasick. I think it's a great day out, shame you don't get a bit longer though, with the boarding times and everything. We rushed Tresco badly, I wanted to get up to the downs at the north of the island, G/F wanted to see the Abbey Gardens, so we didn't do either justice in the end - must go back. Quite keen on St Martin's next time we go. I didn't doubt for a minute that you would really like it over there.

The biggest swells are this time of year as well, i wasn't sick though, it just took me by surprise as i've always been very lucky on other ferries as it's always been smooth [apart from coming back from france when i was still at school], i though the pentland firth might have been rough, but on the day there and the day back it was so serenely still, you just never know do you?
