Glad to see you got over to St Marys, looks like you had a brilliant day for it. The lower vegetation is worth having as well, those sites all look much better when the stones are out in the open. Did you go on the ferry?
Yes thanks for asking, it's a bumpy one isn't it, but that can be expected as i read on the ferry it has the currents of the english channel to the east, bristol channel to the north east, st George's channel to the north, bay of biscay to the south and the atlantic ocean to the west, i even had time for a wander down Peninnis head before the ferry, i was glad to see that i can easily get to Tresco [where you've been], st agnes, st martins and Bryher as well, that's part of next year sorted out for me then, as penzance is 10-15 mins from me on my bike, it was like summer at Pelistry bay, and on a day it was covered in snow were i come from, i do love it down here [even more than i thought i would].

We've been over (I think) four times now and only one of the eight crossings was bad, plus that one was a good learning exercise as neither of us got seasick. I think it's a great day out, shame you don't get a bit longer though, with the boarding times and everything. We rushed Tresco badly, I wanted to get up to the downs at the north of the island, G/F wanted to see the Abbey Gardens, so we didn't do either justice in the end - must go back. Quite keen on St Martin's next time we go. I didn't doubt for a minute that you would really like it over there.
