The wall wasn't on the map, it was on the ground. The map doesn't show any walls to cross, so we didn't. But we looked pretty systematically in what certainly sounds like the right field - that's why I asked, in case it is actually in the next field maning you'd have to go over a wall....

I'm really confused now, surely the B6265 is the only way to approach it by car...?

Sorry, Moth, I was on the bike! Much better than going by car and you're not likely to meet (or rather antagonise) the furious farmer that was complaining about people parking in front of his gates. Apparently its some complicated pen system which he uses for his livestock. He looked very angry though and said something about trespass and shotguns!
