It takes a lot to get me wound up these days and I did delete it and say sorry :-)

It seems to be you who favours inaction, no one else, so I don't know why you're having a pop at a bunch of people who obviously care a whole heap more than you do.

Was your mum attacked by an information sign when you were in the womb?

While you're deleting and apologizing for another of your blasts of arrogant hot air, perhaps you should also delete the offensive third paragraph in your last post to Earthstepper and apologize to him for it; and while you're at it, perhaps you should also remember that, though we may all disagree with each other at times, such disagreements are never an excuse for personal and insulting comments.

Well that's so stupid I'll not bother to reply. I hate futile bloody signs that do nothing but antagonise. In my local wood there was no vandalism until busybody bureaucrats stuck up signs saying don't do this that and the other. The ones that haven't been torn down are riddled with air gun pellets.

If you want to get things in perspective Oh great and mighty Four Windbags get a look at this

"the Druid's
Temple near Ulverston had been vandalised - the tallest stone in the
inner ring had had red paint poured over it."

You may be right about my mother, but I can't ask her as she died recently. A low jibe even for pondlife.. The point I am making is that signs attract vandalism - they do nothing to protect or deter. A pop at Heritage in Action - no not really though I did think that the recent tale of woe about the chairman not wanting to meet EH was sad.

Why people on forums cannot disagree without resorting to personal offence is beyond my understanding. I do care about ancient sites and just don't believe that silly signs will help at all. Maybe I'm wrong, but maybe you are - now that is the ultimate heresy on a TMA forum - to suggest, nay even hint that FW could be wrong about anything. The master leads and the sheep follow.
