Hi Chris
Creepily I ordered A man on the Moors last week after finding a cheap copy in Canada via Abe books so I'll let you know, hopefully in a few days.
Elgee's Early Man is still pretty much one of the major books of my bible. I'm keeping my eyes out for a reasonable copy of his Moorlands of North-Eastern Yorkshire.
cheers

Sounds more like sod’s law to me - there’s a copy of ‘Man of the moors’ on ebay at the moment from a bookshop in Durham!

I though you might have a copy which was why I was asking if it was worth a punt on it.
The only copies of Early Man I’ve seen were going for silly money, although I’ve not looked for it a while so I don’t know what the going rate these days.
