Lucky lucky. The whole of the Tal y Fan complex is about a dozen miles away, just over the river, Maen y Bardd and the Druid's Circle are both in the first rank of sites to my mind if you've not visited them.

I've not been to many of the sites around Capel Garmon (except CG itself, which is very easy access). Hendre Waelod tomb is fairly close and access is easy across a couple of fields on a footpath.

This is my well-trodden patch and plenty to chose from. Close to Capel Garmon are the remains of Maen Pebyll and the views are stunning from Maen Y Bardd above the village of Rowan across the Conway Valley. I have often used a great little book "Walks in Ancient Wales" by Robert Harris (ISBN: 978-1-85058-797-2) alongside the OS map to get around. So close to the gem that is Anglesey too. Happy days!
