Unless, of course, your feet have been inadvertantly led into the Vertical Swamp of Cairn Menyn. Then you're basically hating it.

But it makes good story!

The ‘Vertical Swamp of Cairn Menyn’ allusion might go over the heads of most but I can confirm that such a ‘vertical swamp’ does, actually, exist (and here’s a pic of it with Mr B in the lead). At this point I wish to make clear that I had no part in leading Mr and Mrs B into said vertical swamp but continued, along with moss, to hold the fort back at base camp until their safe return :-)

Of course I had no intention of ascribing "leading" blame to anyone else but me. It were my darm feet did it. They do it every time. That's the problem; although I'll never be able to overcome the impulse, whatever rational mind might remain to me continues to try to tell me, "Don't trust those feet. Don't listen to those feet!" I follow the feet. They just keep on going, like that blasted battery-ad rabbit.

Why can't I learn to listen?
