Me too. If we knew precisely why they are so powerful and disturbing we'd be looking directly back into our distant past maybe. We carry feelings about certain things in our genes I reckon. But such things have to be connected with survival else why would the trait be passed forward?

So.... perhaps they're reminiscent of people with the plague, best avoided...?
