Ah! Some channel (probably 5) did something like this recently. Hugely entertaining programme about people who proclaimed themselves to be 100% British (including the grotesque Garry Bushell and various other misguided, right wing numptys).

Their faces were a treat when it was revealed they were ALL at least part Asian/African/German/French/etc... The person that came out MOST British was some aristocrat whose family rarely left their living room, let alone the country!

Should be good...

Channel 4 did a similar thing a few years back. They picked up four people of differing ethnic background from the streets of London (some were tourists) and managed to find a common ancestor for two in about three generations, and all four in 150 years.

there was a report on the news this morning about how Celts weren't Celts at all, but more Basque. Personally, I'd always thought that Basques (and Catalans) were Celtic. Mind you, this is based purely on a vague bagpipe type instrument I once saw in northern Spain.
