Thanks Andy , Dunno if it's quite the same thing really
I guess you're right, but what struck me was the difficulties you're having with distances between the sites and the curvature of the earth etc. These guys are saying they've witnessed solistical alignments all along the Boyne valley, from Drogheda, to Slane, to Loughcrew (not in the Boyne valley) that seem plausible. I know you're dealing with greater distances, but Loughcrew is roughly about 50kms from Drogheda, with Slane in between, so maybe you need to work out what's of significance between the sites. Or maybe you have already. Or maybe you don't and I'm just raving! :-)

The churches are good indicators of prehistoric sites, that's all. In England at least.

The distance thing is easy it just means going over some figures ,the curavture prob is taken is taken care of in the prog. The main difference is the choice of sites ,exclusively henges and the major stone circles .The astro stuff crops up now and agin and is a bonus . The alignments from Bru na Boinne and Loughcrew are purely astro and not between other sites on the same bearing as far as I am aware .
