A mute option would be nice.
I thought all computers had one o' them.
If you wanna be pedantic about it, hardly any computers have a mute button . Although the option to mute is available within Windows :p

Still, not much use if you're listening to music whilst browsing the net. This is just one reason why a lot of people don't like web pages with embedded sound. It effectively restricts what you can do with your computer whilst surfing.

You do get so-called multi-media keyboards with a mute button (like my memo...)

If you want to be really pedantic noone actually mentioned a mute button until you did. A mute option was talked about, though. However, I will concede that it is the operating system that has the mute option, not the computer itself (unless you have a funky multimedia keyboard or a Mac, which has a mute key on the standard keyboard :-)

Just for the record, though, I never said I liked the embedded music on the home page, although I do like the track itself. I simply avoid the home page, which deals with the problem quite nicely.

It's not up to me what anyboby places on their website. If there was music on every page that played every time I visited then I simply wouldn't visit it. No one is forced to look at the home page of TMA. It's like the Mary Whitehouse vs porn on TV issue. If you don't like it don't watch it, but don't keep watching it and complaining about it* :-)

*I am not accusing anyone directly of behaving like this, JFTR :-)
