If you wanna be pedantic about it, hardly any computers have a mute button . Although the option to mute is available within Windows :p

Still, not much use if you're listening to music whilst browsing the net. This is just one reason why a lot of people don't like web pages with embedded sound. It effectively restricts what you can do with your computer whilst surfing.
