Leyline alert!

close

While we're on the subject... erm...

Does anyone know a lot about the St Michael leyline? My uncle's been told it runs right through his house, and I wondered if there was any difinitive way of finding out such things. I know little to nothing about this sort of thing but said I'd ask.

WEll. I think in the 'sun and the serpent' book

it does say you can buy the OS maps with the line marked on. But the book's pretty old now. And I can't tell you off-hand where you got the maps from exactly (though I could have a look when I go home).

Someone has even traced the line around the world, by rubber bands and dowsing (!) through Russia China New Zealand and South America.

and there's a map of sorts on this page......

I'm reserving my judgment.

surely you just take your atlas and draw a straight line (0.3mm HB pencil is best) between St Michael's Mount in Cornwall and Mont St Michel in France? is his house marked on the atlas?

seriously though, if you dig down in the back garden to a depth of around 7 metres you should come to a thin black line, if indeed you are on the ley

Glutton for punishment are ya? Can of worms opening up! http://www.whale.to/b/belinus_line.html The so-called Belinus line is supposed to pass through St Catherines Hill here in Winchester.
Is this the reason I get giddy spells when I pass it or is it much more to do with the pub at its base?
Jim.

Well, you could send him an old wire coathanger cut into 2 equal lengths, both bent into an L-shape and a link to Sig Lonegren's dowsing instructions.

See what he finds!

"Ways of seeing
It is important to remember that not all Earth Energy dowsers 'see' these energies in the same way. Since Spiritual Dowsing was first published in 1986, dowsers Hamish Miller and Paul Broadhurst have dowsed the 'Michael Line' – a geomantic corridor discussed later in this book, running from St Michael's Mount in Cornwall to the Northeast through many important sites including Glastonbury Tor and Avebury. Instead of the energy being straight as with the energy leys discussed here, they found two curving lines (called the Michael and Mary lines), like the serpents on Hermes' caduceus, crossing at the major points of power along the way. It's OK to 'see' it differently."

Rune :-)

Try 'The Sun and the Serpent' by Miller or 'The Old Straight Track' by Watkins ... or ask Ishmael ... :>)
