Thanks, I tried to report as honestly as possible. It was unfortunate, both for Simon and for the experiment, that the accident happened when it did, as I believe the major flaw in the transport on rollers theory was about to be exposed.

However I certainly learned a great deal from the experiments and all in all it was great fun.

I'm now looking forward to testing some new ideas next year.

It reads very interesting, thanks for that, I know some of the techniques that are still used regular, with rope and wedge, but like the log on top and on the bottom and the rope, I have never seen it like this before, it looks absolutely construction usable. I can't say what the ancients did or didn't have developed but they did do things 'big' and must have had quite a few techniques.
I think you have proven that there is alot of experimental research that is worth a closer look.
