Hi All
I have now updated my website with my conclusions following this summers stone moving experiments carried out by myself and the Stonehengineers. See; www.stonehengetheanswer.com

Thanks for the update Gordon. IMHO a fair assessment of the trials and tribulations of experimental archaeology and the problems of working with TV.
I'm glad you emphasised the exhausion experienced by the pullers during the stone rolling episode, it was obvious to all who were there.

Jim.

i just read your theory for the first time gordon - that's amazing - and well done you - simplicity and lateral thinking wins the day. it looks like slow motion rowing or punting - do you think that's where they got the idea from - maybe repairing a boat on land and messing about with the oars? it's difficult to imagine someone coming up with the lever overnight - and it doesn't really seem to occour in nature.

Hi Gordon, for as long as I can remember I am supposed to have believed that ancient man moved stones on rollers. I never did. I am supposed to believe that the Great Pyramid was built using ramps. I never have. Although your ideas overcome some of the problems presented in the other two theories, again they don't work for me. Let's not forget I'm expected to believe that the granite blocks of the GP were first cut from the ground using copper chisels and hammering stones. Yeah right!
Someone's got to say it Gordon: You're talking bollocks.
