Reference Tombo’s original supposition that the bible is vague about the Fall I think that's questionable. It's not specific, but it's clear if you know what I mean. I can’t be bothered to post it all but there are loads of sites that give chapter and verse (literally) on what happened. God said don’t, or you’ll die, Adam did, Satan fell (at or before this time) and although Adam didn’t die for another 200 years there are zillions of specific references showing that the original “die” had meant “be withdrawn from God” and that all subsequent humans have been born in sin. I’m sure early Xtians would have got the full message, long before Milton.

Yes Nigel, fear and control do have an ancient past...... why would an atheist give a shite about any reference to God? Speaking of fourwinds actually. Just like this thread things get jumbled and messed up in 3 days what do you think happens over thousands and thousands of years? Everyone has thier own interpretation of the SAME thing.... and I am convinced we are all talking about the same thing in this thread and bickering over inconsequential bits. Is it any wonder that we cannot remember a time when this world was not at war..... sad, makes me sick to me stomach. 8o(

Perhaps Adam, lost in his ego mind, is talking about ignoring divine guidance and forcing his own will in a certain area.... and just being warned that it would lead to lowering his abilities to such a point that he would not be able to experience or communicate with the divine. If Adam even existed 8-)
