The Bryn

Cairn(s)

The Bryn (Cairn(s)) by thesweetcheat The cairn is being badly treated. Not something you want to see at a prehistoric monument.

I agree, the place is being badly treated by its heroin-taking, litter abandoning visitors. But of all the out-of-sight, effort-to-get-there spots, they've chosen the cairn, it's not like they don't value it at all :) Maybe it's a good spot for the view while you get pissed. But I guess also the dip's out of the wind. I wonder if the knowledge that they're potentially sitting amongst a load of dead people might put them off a bit. Leaving needles is pretty scummy, and what's more won't they themselves sit on the things next time round? People eh.

Those were some big trees on it too? It's not fared very well lately has it.

No, but it could be great. I get the impression that much of The Valleys has lost faith in itself, which is so sad, as the hills are actually lovely. Thatcher, that's who I blame (about most things). thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat
