Shouldn't this strictly be 'Possible calendar discovered in Aberdeenshire field' as there could be other reasons for the pits being there surely? Don't ask me what though:-)

See forum comments , on "oldest calendar" . Pits are ubiquitous and by their nature hardly ideal visual markers for anything .
