That would be great, but equally any one of 27 countries could unilaterally screw us. We're supplicants. Begging. With Farage lobbying each of them to refuse us.

A People's Vote will be the inevitable outcome of the complete breakdown of every other possibility. Until that happens, MPs won't vote for it because they are too afraid of the fall-out. Tonight isn't the night to get a #PeoplesVote over the line. Patience required.

And then what? The British will still vote to leave?
