Time moves on, methods change/develop in all areas not just the 'accepted' ones.

No. Not in "all" areas. Some methods are cul de sacs that never move on. Like for instance astrology or divining the future by throwing knuckle bones in the air. Dowsing has never developed an inch further than those has it?

Ask the dowser. It must have moved on though in a sense as it began (I believe) with the forked stick, then the rods followed by the pendants. I know very little about it (obviously) but all we are hearing are the negatives from none dowsers, nothing from the dowsers themselves.

Many dowsers don't use props at all .It's not a development if they still can't prove it works .

What can they say ? "We can find stuff ". But when it comes to the crunch ,they either refuse to prove it in a test , or if suffiently confident , they fail .

ALL of them (there must be 1000's) or just those that are asked or prepared to be tested?
