Agreed, although I think some differentiation can be made between a long barrow mound (which might hide secondary interments outside of the chambers) and a hillfort. Clearing trees (if including grubbing out the roots) from a long barrow, especially if done using mechanical equipment and without archaeological supervision, is a recipe for disaster in my opinion. Whereas the long term health of a hillfort is more likely to be assured by clearance, even if it's not pretty while it's happening - which isn't to say it should be done carelessly, obviously.
