Obviously not part of the plot. Being something like a 1,000 years earler than most of the other contructed bits (if dating is correct) then I can understand why. Do you recall in the TV doco 'Silbury -The Heart of the Hill' Mike Parker-Pearson says something along the lines of, "As the WKLB was shutting up shop, so Silbury Hill was taking over with a new belief?' If this new belief was indeed an Afterlife belief then that would make a lot of sense as to why it is not included in the authors idea of what the complex consisted of with regard to his earth figure.
