Moth waited for 30 minutes lying in the grass to get the best shot. (He also got bitten by a tick and contracted Lyme disease, so be careful!)
Yikes! Was that in 2006? He did spend a lot of time lying on the ground at Callanish...
Photowise, go in summer, late evenings and early mornings mean if you are prepared to outwait the tourists there will be few enough to take some decent shots. Even I managed it!
