I don't know if your still around these parts Barry but I can across this reference today
"Hemlington (Himeligetun)
On the S.W. boundary of Middlesbrough and now in Teesside, this is the site of a new town. There was a messuage and a windmill here in 1353. On Viewy (??) Hill, the first rise from the Tees level, was a tall standing stone, considered to be of Roman significance, wilfully destroyed in recent years".
