Tintagel's a dump though. Surely that demonstrates that the intervention of the NT is preventing Avebury from turning into something hideous?

Well yeah, obviously. I'm just arguing that I don't think the NT can be held entirely to blame for the decline of Avebury as an idyllic rural community.
