Hi there
I recently included a day out in the Shap area http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/466 with a visit to Gamelands and Maybergh Henge. Took about 5 hours, with a long stop for a picnic at Shap Abbey (and also a visit to the Chocolate Shop in Orton for my piggy friend!)
We started at Maybergh and then worked our way back down - you could also include Gunnerkeld, although I think the farm may have now been sold, so am not sure whether the new farmer is as friendly as the previous owners!
remember your waterproofs - the weather forecast for the next few days up here isn't that great!
