I'm for people adhering to PAS, whether they are field walkers, archeologists or metal detector users. That other people act in such a disgraceful way ought to fire up those who love their heritage to ensure that the heritage they find is properly recorded.
Just out if interest, anyone able to give a ballpark number on archeologists nicking finds vs metal detector users nicking finds? I'm guessing the second figure is substantially higher, just because of the numbers of people involved.
