Kilmartin IS fantastic. I spent a week there a couple of years ago with a bunch of mates in a house in Ford and still didn't get to see everything. You can't walk for more than a few minutes without tripping over something prehistoric!
We noticed too that the barrows are all placed at a spliffs distance from each other... just as you finish one, there's a nice bit of shelter to roll another... a measurement that came to be known as the neolithic toke :)
There's also a very nice craggy coastline nearby too.
