Come down and see it sometime then! I should have measured it, but its about the size of a hand span or a small pony's hoof. Perhaps it was Old Nick playing footie with the church!

In answer to Moth, yes it does seem obvious, but I'm still surprised at some of the carvings found in churches that have survived Puritans and Victorians. I have a lovely sheela and randy old fella near me, which I would post, but that would be beyond TMA timespan wouldn't it?
