Taken yesterday, 7th Jan 2007. The elements were extreme, and the wind was fierce but that didn’t alter the fact that it was a magical experience, for one reason or another.

Saturday 16th September 2006. The entrance is no longer blocked, with easy access to the long barrow, particularly if you are tiny.
The left handside of the entrance to the barrow bares a fossil believed to represent the mother/earth goddess. Saturday 16th September 2006
Nestled in the hedge at Quoit Farm is Hautville’s Quoit, Saturday 16th September 2006
The stones of The Cove stand beautifully in the beer garden of the Druid Arms pub (which unfortunately was closed). It was difficult to submit a photograph that wasn’t duplicating someone elses so I apologise for my presence in this shot. Saturday 16th September 2006
This is how the nine stones makes me feel, dizzy with atmosphere.
Slightly different angle on the Great Circle, close to the entrance, Saturday 16th September 2006
The North East Circle, on Saturday 16th September 2006.
Partial view of The Great Circle. Saturday 16th September 2006. Very overcast day with an eerie feel to it.
The Hellstone, 26th March 2006.
The weather set the scene for yet another mystical adventure to the Hellstone and what better way to capture it than in the wind, rain and mist.
Roadside view of Knowlton Henge and church, 19th March 2006
On approaching Badbury Rings itself just at the entrance are 3 perfectly formed barrows.
We stood on top of the henge to admire the surrounding beauty, and of course, the Great Barrow. The size of this undisturbed treasure is large from a distance, and we were sorely tempted to get closer, if it had not been for the barbed wire and electric fence surrounding the field.
Another Stone nestled in the Heathland, visible when approaching.
One of the remaining stones of Studland Stone Row
This was our first visit to the Tor, and even though it was cold and misty this added to the magical feeling that encrouched us here, and in the town itself.
November 2004
Even from a distance the Agglestone is an amazing sight. It holds a beauty in all angles and in any light. 27th December 2004
The buttress of the church at Knowlton Henges. The pull is incredible. 30th December 2004
The Harpstone, 27th December 2004. Enjoyable trip incorporating an unavoidable mud slide to reach the stone.
Inside view of the burial chamber, 2nd January 2005
My first encounter of Maiden Castle Hill Fort. Breathtaking to say the least. A typical windy afternoon adds to the atmospheric wash. And to add, not myself in the picture, as I am female!

The Grey Mare and her Colts entrance, with what appears to be multi coloured seed laid at the opening as a solstice gesture.
