Barbrook III’s long grass and low stones make it hard to capture the circle’s large size… at least, without resorting to this kind of cheap gimmick.

The tree just to the right-of-centre is the one at the south entrance of the henge ... don’t know why but that tree always seems such a part of Avebury to me ... its in nearly every photo I’ve ever seen of the henge, and it never seems to lose or change it’s shape.
