The last site of the day, the last up and downs of the day.
Stones like these, south east, can be found almost surrounding the site hiding in the grass.
Underneath the tree, the remains of more wall on the north.
Not much left of this dun, the different height of grass – the remains of the north east wall.
Looking north on top on the wall, the drop beneath is straight down.
This, looking west, shows the there is still quite a considerable wall remaining underneath the foliage.
Looking north east towards Muasdale farm.
In the middle of the dun, the ferns have done a good job hiding everything.
This might look like a short walk to fern covered site in the centre, it’s a dangerous one as well.
Wall built either side, at least they didn’t pull it down.
Looking south west, you can just about see Ireland.
Looking west onto a very calm Atlantic.
Incoming cloud covering what should be the north of Ireland to the south west.
Looking north, round the corner is the Red Cove Dun. A fast part of the road, keep a grip of any hats.
The remnants of the north section of the west wall.
The red stone is reasonably easy to carve as can be seen by more modern initials etc.
The west side, looks like one of my former haircuts as well.
The west side of the dun, easy to see where the name comes from.
