For some reason, the camera’s flash ceased to work, after this photo. However, I’m going back to the island :-)

In the gloom you just about see one of the other caves inside.
The possible remains of a cist in the centre of the cairn.
Looking south east, perhaps the remains of chamber cairn, perhaps.
Directly over the white building on the hill is Scalasaig Standing Stone.
Carn Nan Caoroch behind, looking north east.
The east end, taken from a spot were I could get above the head high ferns.
South side of the entrance, the Paps of Jura beyond.
Looking south, the road to Oransay, beyond is Islay.
Interior of the fort, looking east – Scalasaig village and ferry port, Jura beyond.
North east well, Loch an Sguid in the background.
A stunning place, a lot of forts / duns here are stunning.
Scattered parts of the wall on the west, south side.
A close as you can get on the south side.
Tp the south east, the monument to Lord Colonsay.
The gorse is doing its best to hide the stone.
Looking on to the top of the stone.
Over the wee hump is track that leads to Millbuie, home to a cairn.
Behind the white building, the stone would have had a clear view of Buaile Riabhach, kerb cairn and standing stone.
Note the petrol / diesel pump sneaking into the photo. This looking north east.
A dun, near the port, across from the shop, next to the petrol/diesel pumps.
Beinn Nan Caorach dominates, superb views up there.
Further along the north west defence, Port Mor in the background.
Remnants of the north west wall, Port Mor (the bay) in the background.
